Toubkal Ascent - Excursion : Program

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1700m) – Toubkal Refuge (3000m)

We leave Marrakech to Imlil (1700m) 70 km of paved road of Marrakech. Meeting with the mule, loading baggage and start hiking. We pass the village of Aremd (1900m) 15 minutes from Imlil. We continue to Sidi Shamharoush. Picnic lunch along the way. Dinner and overnight at the refuge of Toubkal.

Day 2: Toubkal ascension  

Begin the day early as you continue your trek to the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Cross river streams and head across the fields of the mountains, navigating the endless carpet of boulders and rocks. Cresting the ridgeline, find yourself on the plateau and stop to admire the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape, including unrestricted views from the Marrakech Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara.

Day 3: Toubkal Refuge – Armed – Imlil (1900m) - Marrakech

Today we descend back down to Imlil in which will take us around five hours. Then arriving to the village, where we will meet our transport and return to Marrakech.
