Excursion to Ait Bouguemez Valley : Program

This 3-day excursion from Marrakech in the High Atlas will allow you to discover beautiful valleys and breathtaking landscapes.

Ait Bouguemez or the Happy Valley is a favorite destination for Moroccan and foreign visitors, thanks to its great cultural and geological diversity, the authenticity of its beautiful Berber villages and the kindness of locals.

The Aït Bouguemez valley is a perfect place for trekking and hiking.

Excursion program

Day 1 : Marrakech - Demnate - Imi n'Ifri - Ait Boulli - Ait Bougmez (180 Km)

Departure from Marrakesh through the road to Demnate. We will have a lunch break at the small village of Imi N'ifri with a short walk next to the famous natural bridge of the village which has been classified as a site of biological and ecological interest. Continuation to the village Iwariden, a small red earth village where we will explore superb dinosaur tracks. We will then cross the valley of Ait Boulli before arriving in Ait Bougmez.

Installation at the hostel, welcoming tea and then a short hike around the gite to discover the region with your local guide.

Day 2: Visit of the happy valley

After breakfast, transfer by minibus to the village of Timit to visit the old granary collective of Sidi Moussa located on the top of a beautiful hill. Continuation on foot through a mosaic fields to reach the lodge of Imelghas where we will take a lunch break before returning back to our hostel.

Day 3 : Ait Bougmez - Azilal - Ouzoud Waterfalls - Marrakech (260 Km)

Back to Marrakech by the road to Azilal, a small coffee break on the way before reaching the sumptuous valley of Ouzoud, where you will have the chance to discover the highest waterfalls in Morocco, nestled in the heart of a beautiful natural site of the Middle Atlas. We will enjoy a short visit to discover this beautiful valley, then we will have lunch on the terraces before continuing to Marrakech.

* Hiking in 4x4 to visit Tizi n'Tighist, famous for its rock carvings or 'rupestre' through the beautiful red valley d'Ait Boulli.
